GARDENS ARE NOT MADE BY SINGING "OH HOW BEAUTIFUL", AND SITTING IN THE SHADE.
This weekend has been all about the garden.
Lots of happy buying of plants
Sowing of seeds and potting on of seedlings.
All happy and joyous, yes?
But there is a dark side to the garden.
All of those lovelies need a place to live.
Then there is the privet Berlin wall that has grown up over what we suspect must have been a large number of years.
The Hippy had his work cut out it was over 25 foot high.
And our garden really is very very long.
But it had to go. What is the point of having a south facing garden that has no sun after noon?
However the cuttings are making the most amazing camp for the boys.
And later in the year, the mother of all bonfires.
This weekend I have adopted this quote by Margaret Atwood as my motto
"Gardening is not a rational act".
Hope your weekends were just as productive.
Love Nora xxx
