So here he is, finally finished.

My fingers are very sore!
The glittery Matador is for this production.

Hello I'm just dropping by for a few moments this evening to say Hi and in place of anything constructive to say show you some quick pics of what I am up to.

Today mainly I have been cutting big pieces of gold braid up in to little pieces of gold braid and then restitching it in to something else.

Only the something else needs to looks like real life very expensive gold embroidered fabric.
As often happens the reverse of the applique looks even more interesting than the front.

Its all mounted on to the most amazing very thick wool felt.
Right thats it, I'm off. It's a very tight deadline.
But I will share more images of the finished Matador once he's finished.

I love this time of year.
Every thing is so green, spring has sprung, winter is over.
It is time to celebrate
Hastings does this better than most places.
Jack In The Green.
5 days of celebration and welcoming in the new season.
Culminating in the parade on bank holiday Monday.
In the morning the Jack is released from the Fisherman's Museum on the seafront.
Jack, the Gay Bogies, the lovely ladies, the giants, the drum and Morris dancing troupes, the sweeps parade through the old town and up on to the West hill.

Greening noses every where they went.

Sitting in the sun, drinking a cold beer, catching up with friends, watching the Morris Dancing troupes doing their thing.
Happy spring every one.

I have realised that I'm not finished with stitched flying ducks.
I thought I was, but no the urge to make another tin full of ducks came upon me.

This was a present for a very dear friend who needs all the joy we can bring to her right now.

Thoughts are already turning towards another set of ducks.
Possibly larger. Possibly not in a tin.
