WE GO TO THE GALLERY

Some days it feels like life is but a fiction.

Today our lives were a scarily accurate representation of this charming little book.

We went to the gallery.
We saw inspiring art.

This one is by Shozo Shimamoto.
Luckily we didn't have to have this conversation... (Yet)

We are now back home with a cup of tea calm the nerves and a spot of crochet to soothe the mind.

There is only so much high culture one can endure with a moody 12 yr old and a pair of fighting younger boys.

  2. That books is so funny - I got some strange looks in our local bookshop as I laughed out loud reading it. Young boys and art, hmmmm, we always had more success with viewing sculpture, particularly outdoor sculpture, rather than painting when our lads were younger. Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Cass Sculpture Foundation were always successful visits.

  3. Thank you, Nora, for the smiles this post has delivered. I'd not seen that book before, but have definitely seen puzzling items over the decades in lots of galleries.
Your crocheting is looking very good. Bring on springtime. xo

  4. Thank you for making me laugh out loud on this drench and freezing winter day. It reminds me of taking Sprogzilla to galleries when she was wee. Lovely crochet. Xx
