GREEN
Every year at this time Hastings turns Green.
Tomorrow is the Jack in The Green festival.
Which is the culmination of a long weekend of celebrations of spring, with plenty plenty Morris Dancing on the side.
The old town turns green for the weekend. Pubs, restaurants, shops and homes are all decorated with ribbons and laurel leaves.
My personal favourite thing is the drum off.
Held on the Sunday afternoon at Butler's gap, an open space between the shops on George St.
Three local drum groups have a battle in this small enclosed space.
The noise is overwhelming.
Happy spring every one.

Beltane blessings, Ms Nora. How amazing a place Hastings is! Always so many interesting things going on. I love the look of this festival, so pagan. Makes the place look so beautiful. xx
